For the first 4 thumbnails, I was nailing down the themes that I want to do for the final project. The first row consists of a farm with a rocket launch in the background. I played around with the angle of the barn and placement of rocket. I also switched in between dark and light tone. For the second row, I changed perspective of the bridge and the position of the wizard compared to the bridge (bellow or above).
For the second set of thumbnails, i made a simple shuttle with a pilot and a companion droid sitting above the sea level. I played around with the tone and mood of the setting. I also played around with he tone, adding a light and dark theme.
Here are also the upgraded drawings from the previous assignments. I used the feedback given to make it look better.

ReplyDeleteOn the first row, I like the one on the right better, the barn against the light and the contrast come out pretty nicely :)
On the second row, both are good to my eyes; it depends "what's the story", what to you wish to tell with it, where the character is coming from, where is he going to, etc. (Though we see the character better in the first one, because of his position toward the background, whereas on the second one, he is "mixed up" with the bridge on the back... Unless the colors would be very different (bridge vs character), we loose a little of the sight of the character on the second image, compared with the first where he is shining against a very light background ;)
