Hi, I couldnt finish my dark mass exercise, so heres finished, plus the mid tone exercise.
For the first one i took some of the reference and create a character with them, it was funny and excited.
for the second one I put some more concept on it to create a scene.
Feedback is always very appreciated.
thanks!

Awesome work! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI like the way you have worked with texture for the tank; feels even more sandy :P
For the first painting, this is super-subjective comment, but makes me feel like the render of the armor and the character is so soft and smooth; it kinda clash with the textured robe... To me, it feels like two different style at once. Smooth and textured can work out together on the same painting, especially here for the snowy effect... But the robe and the knee, to me, should have the same kind of texture as the rest of the character, because 1) they are the continuity of the character (main subject of the painting), 2) they are the same "level" (not further away, like the bear). If it was something "off-focus", textured would work (like for the background), it works for the snowy effect and the background too! :) But not on the character ;) My 2 pennies ;)
Awesome job by the way! ^_^
Thanks Démie!!! amaizing feedback, im gonna upgrade it!! you're awesome!
DeleteI haven't say the first time (sorry!! Hope it's not too late :/ ), but I would leave the texture on the boots, cuz it really feels like there's wind and snow everywhere on the wind. I found that it looks "grounding" for the character, he's really in this environment and it's awesome! ^_^
